The monolith is in ...

We decided, as we are prone to doing, that the store needed some sprucing up. Simply put, we weren't happy with the window. The boards had shrunk after 10 years in the sun and heat, the knee wall was ... well, flimsy and useless and really we struggled to keep the window looking good with SO much space to work with.

Out came the floor, in went a simple plywood floor that we painted and clear coated. That was pretty simple and took a day or two. Then ... the monolith. The monolith is our new ... wall, for lack of a better descriptive wall. It will showcase product IN and OUTside of the store. For example: it will showcase the nordic skis. And it seems to have made the front of the store seem much more open, spacious even.
So, that is project #1 for the winter. We have some other interesting news in the work, some stuff that we are pretty excited about that is about more than 'just' visually tweaking the store.

As for the season ... the season for thinking ski and getting dressed appropriately for  your rides is upon us. Between the many quality brands we carry (Sugoi, Icebreaker, Swix, Seirus and more...) we have everything you need if you are spending a day sliding around on the sticks, you are commuting around town at 5 in the morning (or evening) or you enjoy a brisk road or mountain ride. We've got it.

I'm still struggling to decide what to ride this winter. Last years experiment with a pretty sad old Bianchi road bike left me scared more often than reassured so I am moving towards something a bit ... higher quality. I just can't make the time to decide. Hmmm... any suggestions?

Stop in. Take a peek at the new layout.

Tim
