We are into November ... and this is where you might wonder, what IS it you do in a bike shop when many people are looking outdoors and thinking ... 'biking, pffft??'.
Well, first and foremost we are catering to the aspiring belgians, mountain bikers and commuters who don't stop cycling when the weather gets a wee bit chilly. A surprising number of people just don't stop riding and we are here to do their instant repairs, get them the proper clothing and often just offer advice on how to keep nice and warm while getting around town.
Second, we are getting the cross country skis out. The SWIX clothing is out on the wall and the skis have been received. We are ready to move into ski mode.
Third, organizing. Cleaning. Prepping. Planning. Learning from mistakes.
Fourth (and perhaps most importantly) we are planning what bike we are going to ride next year. I think Mike has cut out a picture of the Super Six EVO and placed it over his work bench. Serious.
So, although the seasons ebb and flow, we are still busy. Some days it just involves one heck of alot of coffee.
